Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to our website, which we hope will give you a good insight into the vibrant and dynamic school life here at the Convent of Mercy. We have a long tradition of educating girls since our school opened almost one hundred years ago. We are a progressive and inclusive school, looking ahead to the future while holding on to our core values, which are reflected in our motto: ‘We challenge, we cherish, we care’.

We strive towards each student achieving their academic potential, and we pride ourselves on providing excellence in teaching and learning in a warm and supportive classroom environment. In addition, through our pastoral care and extra-curricular activities, we prepare students for life outside of school where they will make their own positive and significant contribution to their community, their country and indeed the world. We encourage the development of student voice through our student leadership and student council programmes, and we recognise that every student leaves their own distinctive footprint as they pass through our school.

We look forward to welcoming all prospective students and their parents at our Open Day, held annually in the autumn term of sixth class. In the meantime, enjoy navigating our website and sampling a slice of school life here at the Convent of Mercy.
