Junior Cycle Curriculum

Our curriculum constantly adapts to meet the changing needs of students and offers a diverse range of subjects at all levels in both Junior and Senior Cycle.

First-year students will study all of the core subjects for all of their first year.

They will study their option subjects on a rotational basis until Christmas to facilitate them sampling the option subjects. They will then choose three optional subjects to study with their core subjects for their Junior Cycle programme. We encourage all students to study a language as one of their three optional subjects. Science is compulsory at Junior Cycle. Students are surveyed on their subject choice before Christmas in their first yearand every opportunity is taken to ensure student preference is met, resulting in the highest possible satisfaction rating.
